Golfing in Galloway.
There are several golf courses close at hand to Crailloch Croft Holiday Cottages.

At Portpatrick you will find the 18-hole course at Portpatrick Dunskey. Set on the clifftops above the Irish Sea the course offers a challenging but enjoyable course, and visitors are welcome. The course has a well furbished clubhouse offering food and drink.

Adjacent to the course is the smaller Dinvin Course of 9-holes, ideal for visitors or the newcomer to golfing.

Lagganmore Golf Course, about two miles before Portpatrick, is an 18-hole course with views out over the Irish Sea. Club and golf cart hire available, and the clubhouse offers dinner and evening meals, whilst the bar provides bar-meals. This course offers a challenging round of golf, with the seventh hole being regarded as one of the best in the county.

In nearby Stranraer is the lochside course of Stranraer Golf Course, designed by James Braid – 5 times Open Champion. The 3rd, 5th and 11th holes are particularly notable. The course features a well equipped club house and food is available from snacks to evening meals.The views across the loch are outstanding too.

Wigtownshire County Golf Course, on the shores of Luce Bay near Glenluce, is an 18-hole course with a friendly clubhouse. Due to its seaside location, the breezes can make this a challenge for both old hand and novice alike.
