Our two-acre playing field is equipped with a rustic playcentre for children and a range of outdoor games to entertain the whole family.  A picnic bench and seating is provided for adults to sit and relax whilst children play.  The playing field is fully fenced to protect children from the road and Piltanton and Crailloch Burns which flow close to the field boundaries.

Our 20 x 40m sand and rubber manege is available for use by guests wishing to bring their  horses on holiday, together with free grazing in their own paddock.  Off-road parking for horse-boxes and trailers is available and haylage can be supplied at cost by prior arrangement.  Details on where to ride in local forests and on beaches is provided.

For dog owners there is a quiet lane along which to take a leisurely morning or evening stroll.  A short drive will take you to the local forestry plantation which has far-reaching views across the town to Loch Ryan and Ailsa Craig.

For walkers there is access to a circular route to Portpatrick utilising the first / last section of Scotland’s coast to coast route known as the ‘Southern Upland Way’ which stretches 212 miles from Portpatrick to Cockburnspath in the East.  The walk will take you along scenic coastal cliff-tops, quiet lanes and secluded bays before arriving in Portpatrick.
